Youth Program

The World Health Organization has recently published a regretful report stating that youth health is too often neglected by medical authorities and bodies in the world. Indeed, a recent study shows 25% of youth living in Beirut suffer from an emotional, behavioral or learning disorder while only 6% of those needing treatment receive it.

At Bellevue Medical Center, we have created a youth program, served by a multidisciplinary team of specialized physicians and staff, to serve the youth population. The program addresses youth aged between 11 and 21 years old, having simple or complex health issues, or simply concerns regarding their mental or physical health. It is served by a team of doctors and experts specialized in youth health, among which pediatricians, family doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, gynecologists, nutritionists, and other nurses and healthcare staff.

The problems we address range from general health, to psycho-social problems, passing by eating disorders, addictions, growth and reproductive issues, skin conditions, sleep problems, anxiety, and others.

Youth are more comfortable in a waiting room with others their age and more open to doctors who understand their health challenges. At the Bellevue clinic, we try to make patients feel welcome and understood, and we pay a lot of attention to respect, privacy and confidentiality.

In addition, there are a number of benefits to the youth program:
• Reduced consultation fees
• Discounts on outpatient tests
• Multidisciplinary case management
• Facilitation of appointments and tests with 1 coordinator
• Customized patient ID card
• Relaxed, private & customized setting
• Free educational material on various topics

If you feel that you, your son/daughter, or someone you know needs the youth program, please contact us on: 01-682666, ext. 7470; or youth@bmc.com.lb.
