During the Musculoskeletal & Osteoporosis Congress held in Habtoor Grand Hotel in Beirut on the occasion of Bellevue Medical Center's pre-opening ceremony, the hospital was named partner in the Lund University WHO Collaborating Center for evidence-based health care in musculoskeletal disorders, Lund University being the largest institution for research and higher education in Sweden. BMC is the only center in Lebanon having received such a title.
